[06:58]SlavekB: Yangidle, nice. These are your own builds for MIPS64 or are these packages for 32-bit MIPS that are available in PSB?

[14:04]yangidle: SlavekB: hello, these are the MIPS64 builds from the Linux distribution OS
[14:04]yangidle: bacause it's considered retro-computing on the loongson2 CPU's, they only have packages Trinity and Ice-WM inside distro...
[14:06]SlavekB: Interesting, I didn't know that this distribution is using Trinity.
[14:06]yangidle: aosc.io
[14:28]yangidle: is their website
[14:29]SlavekB: I look and see that they have their own builds for all architectures and install in /usr instead of /opt/trinity.
[14:30]yangidle: yes
[14:30]yangidle: I mean (I don't know)
[14:31]SlavekB: Only riscv64 they (yet) do not build, although we are already testing builds for this architecture (for Debian SID).
[14:32]yangidle: https://packages.aosc.io/search/?q=trinity
[14:32]tde-bot: Page title: Search for "trinity" - AOSC OS Packages
[14:32]yangidle: riscv64 is quite new arch
[14:33]SlavekB: Yes. And because it looks promising, we are already building packages for this architecture.
[14:33]yangidle: nice
[14:34]SlavekB: Of course, this is not part of the official releases, because it is only for unstable, but almost all packages are built successfully.
[14:38]yangidle: what kind of "working" computer is riscv64 ?
[14:38]yangidle: which model
[14:39]SlavekB: Building packages I do using qemu-user-static.
[14:40]SlavekB: I don't have physical hardware for such architecture, so I can't do a real test on real hardware.
[14:42]SlavekB: So there is built in a configuration that is for riscv64 in standard Debian.
[14:45]yangidle: I would be interestred to buy a working risc board, maybe a SBC...
[14:51]yangidle: if it's at the stage when the software works
[14:51]yangidle: I am not a developer so I can't really code software
[14:56]SlavekB: For me it is a good initial result that the packages are successfully built :)
[14:58]yangidle: yes, sounds good
[14:58]yangidle: have you tested the MIPS builds before also, or has this been done just by AOSC?
[14:59]SlavekB: I did test of 32-bit mips packages on very old SGI Indy :)
[14:59]yangidle: ok :) I have one of those too
[14:59]yangidle: but its not in function
[15:00]SlavekB: This has little memory, so it's not suitable for some work.
[15:00]yangidle: right
[15:01]yangidle: NetBSD might still work fine on the indfy
[15:01]SlavekB: But it was nice to see that it started and "could" work.
