[11:21] | cethyel: oy Slávek senpaï, knemo@optional_nettools <https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/knemo/src/branch/feat/optional_nettools>, when you've got time please comment |
[11:36] | Slávek: Hi Greg, I looked at it and it seems good to me. |
[11:37] | Slávek: I wondered if it should make sense to make the possibility of CMake option to select default method, but it is probably not very important. |
[11:38] | cethyel: just realized that I didn't even test with the option ON :-[ |

[12:32] | cethyel: I had pushed on the wrong branch and no ideas how to recover but It should be ok now |
[12:36] | cethyel: >if it should make sense to make the possibility of CMake option to select default method well, BSD* packager should use net-tools, Linux...the other one |
[13:07] | cethyel: Slávek, does FreeBSD still use the traditional convention to naming network cards like eth0, ppp0, etc? I'm asking you this because I'm having a look at knetload right now (reported as non functional on Debian but It does work on Slackware, albeit like knemo we have to set It up properly, here the scale of the incoming/outcoming data rate) |
[13:07] | Slávek: On my testing virtual machine is network interface named: vtnet0 |
[13:09] | Slávek: When I look at the information in the ifconfig statement, there are no information about the number and size of processed packets. |
[13:11] | cethyel: some testing is needed on Deb... with the correct settings before, because I don't anything in the code that can mess things up with the name of the cards, eth0 and so on, those are enclosed by a conditional if related to non Linux systems |
[13:16] | cethyel: @amarok cleaning is on my TODO list but I have planned to do that work the last 2 months before the release, I though doing the cleaning at the end of a dev cycle does not include code change at the last moment before the releasing |
[13:17] | cethyel: if you want I can go ahead and clean Amarok sooner though |
[13:18] | Slávek: Once there is added translation for desktop files, these will be incomplete with automake building. |
[13:20] | Slávek: In any case, TDE/amarok#25 seems ready to merged now. |
[13:20] | tde-bot: [TGW][amarok] #25 - WIP: Translations for doc, messages, and .desktop files
https://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/gitea/TDE/amarok/pulls/25 |
[13:30] | cethyel: I've added a usb wifi card, it got registered as wlan0, Knetload does see It (did not test the data workflow though) so the code to look for network cards works and the apps did not freeze once I switched to wlan0 for monitoring |
[13:33] | cethyel: I'll test on the laptop with Ubuntu... |
[13:45] | cethyel: Knetload does freeze even with the correct settings |
[14:09] | cethyel: It's not clear to me if the function member KNetLoad::insertCustomItems and KNetLoad::setupCustomActions are working properly, I have to test my assumptions...on a laptop, the station is back on Slackware |
[14:11] | cethyel: I've been waiting for a new motherboard with a i7-9700 and an nvme disk for 3 weeks already, i hope to get It this week |
[14:13] | cethyel: I'm going, see you later! |
